We have an exciting opportunity for a **Criminal Justice **Recovery Worker **who have the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. With this role you’ll be working as part of Criminal Justice Team in Norfolk. The team supports service users with their drug and alcohol issues.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

**Salary**:£27,449.53 - £31,529.41 (CGL Scale 23-28) Depending on experience, Pro Rata

**Responsibilities**:
**About The Role**:

- To increase community sentence treatment requirements for drug and alcohol treatment.
- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service on their dependency & recovery journey via our CGL Directory of Services.
- Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral.
- Reducing dependency & recovery related harm to service users and the wider community within the parameters of the National Probation Service referral.
- Assisting to increasing Community Sentence Treatment Requirements (CSTR) for Drug Rehabilitation Requirement (DRR), Alcohol Treatment Requirement (ATR), Mental Health Treatment requirement (MHTR) and Alcohol Abstinence Monitoring Requirement (AAMR) by providing additional resource to attend Magistrates’ courts as required to provide suitability assessments where needed and be available for attending Crown courts where necessary.
- Linking into existing alternative provision e.g. Co-Financing Organisation (CFO) Hubs, Commissioned Rehabilitation Services (CRS), mentoring to enable cohort to remain sufficiently abstinent
- Offering an in-reach service to the prison, pre-release, to ensure correct pathways are identified in custody - to include local prisons and, where appropriate, in neighbouring prisons. supporting the delivery of new “Resettlement Passports”
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
- Onward referral for ongoing support from partnership services.

**About You**:

- A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group, e.g. mental health services, criminal justice agencies, community groups, etc.
- Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency. The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information, e.g. reports.
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users.
- Ability to liaise and work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and agencies.
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to engage successfully with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- An understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion best practice with a particular focus on engagement with hard to reach and marginalised service users.
