**We've been providing exceptional care in beautiful residential settings for over 50 years - and with a growing portfolio of care homes and care villages, we're looking for an outstanding Catering Assistant to join us at our brand new care home, Chapter House, Beverley.**

**About the Role**

Reporting in to the Catering Supervisor, our catering assistants play a key role in ensuring our residents enjoy high-quality and healthy meals. You'll help us deliver the highest quality person-centred care and work closely with our care teams. And like us, you'll always want to do the best you can and constantly look for ways to improve. You will:

- Help prepare and serve high quality food and beverages to our residents
- Promote healthy nutrition and hydration
- Provide food that meets residents' individual needs, and communicate with them to ensure they're catered for in the way they prefer
- Conform to our policies and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment
- Keep kitchens and dining areas clean, to meet the relevant legislation and company standards
- Provide a high standard of service, promoting dignity, privacy and choice
- Ensure a warm, friendly communal environment, putting residents first
- Support other teams in helping our residents to achieve their personal potential

**About You**
Naturally, you're a caring person, and preferably have experience in the catering field. We can help with training on specific skills.
You're driven to provide consistently high quality food and drink that meets required needs and preferences.
You have a meticulous attention to detail in terms of cleanliness.
You're friendly, approachable and have excellent communication skills.
You're a team player, who's outstanding in your own field with bucket loads of respect for your colleagues.
