**About you**:
We are searching for a passionate delivery focused leader that can understand, articulate and drive value from our technology. You are already a seasoned veteran implementing the Modern Workplace ecosystem across different sized enterprises and sectors,an experienced individual with a broad lens on Workplace technology: a true ‘T’ shaped individual. Are you ready to be a catalyst for change and innovation in Pearson?

You will lead the modern engineering implementation of our products and are critical to the service transition to truly enable global support coverage by extending to our offshore operations team. You have a forward thinking approach to devising new solutionsand enhancements, you have a strong sense of customer service, you understand and embrace ITIL best practices, you have significant experience managing the deployment and support of complete telecommunications solutions (audio visual, telephony) right-sizedfor business requirements and with enterprise level security best practices in mind.

**Role purpose**:
The Manager of Workplace Technology provides delivery management and ownership for Microsoft Teams and Zoom based voice and video services to support Pearson’s global businesses. This role is responsible for Pearson’s technical change and engineering forglobal voice and video network, interoperability with associated legacy voice, video and event streaming communications technologies, immersive video conferencing technology and multi-party voice and video collaboration across different end points and usecases.

The role is responsible for leading the engineering, automation, product lifecycle and development of all in scope Microsoft and related voice and video services working alongside our offshore operations staff.

To realize these goals and objectives the position must balance core Microsoft technology skills, product knowledge and delivery focused pragmatism with an eye on workplace experience. The role also encompasses wider awareness of the Microsoft Modern Workplaceplatform working across regions in a strong multi-disciplined engineering group embracing agile ways of working.
