Professional Barista

**About Us**:
Gala Gelato is a premium artisan dessert and gelato shop in the heart of Surbiton, offering handcrafted gelato, waffles, and desserts. We are now expanding our concept with **Gala Juice Bar**, bringing fresh, healthy juices and smoothies to complement our artisan treats.

We’re looking for an experienced and professional **Barista** to join our growing team and help deliver an exceptional customer experience across both concepts.

**About the Role**:
You’ll prepare excellent coffee, juices, and smoothies while providing friendly, attentive service. You’ll also assist with gelato and dessert service, helping to maintain Gala’s high standards of quality and presentation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, fresh juices, and smoothies
- Deliver warm, professional customer service
- Assist with gelato, waffles, and dessert orders when required
- Maintain a clean and organised bar and prep area
- Follow hygiene and food safety standards

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year of barista or café experience
- Good knowledge of espresso preparation (specialty coffee preferred)
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
- Ability to multitask between coffee, juice, and dessert preparation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
