We are looking for **Waste Management Operatives** to join our Yard Team here at PrepWorld - a busy fresh cut fruit factory with a brand new site based in Northfleet,

**MAIN DUTIES**:

- Look after all baling duties and ensure all waste is placed into the correct waste streams
- Look after all compactor duties and ensure all waste is placed in the correct waste streams
- To cover all outside FLT duties
- Unload and correctly stack customer trays
- Supply customer trays on request to the factory
- Unload any packaging that cannot be unloaded on a loading bay and supply to the relevant area
- Load bales of waste cardboard/plastics onto a stand trailer once bailed
- Inform area Team leader/Supervisor when a trailer is nearing full and requires a change over
- Ensure all machinery start up checks are completed, and any defects reported to area Team Leader/Supervisor
- When unloading deliveries check delivery against delivery note and inform area Team leader/Supervisor of any discrepancies
- Load and Unload vehicles that arrive on site in a safe and controlled manner
- Ensure waste areas outside are tidy and free from waste on the floor
- Outside housekeeping, around the Waste management & packaging areas.
- Ensure any fruit waste tipping is carried out correctly following all H&S and working instruction procedures.
- Always follow instruction of the area Team leader/Supervisor undertaking any requests they may have
- Monitor the Seepex system to ensure fruit waste is filling all waste trailers correctly
- Always work with H&S at the forefront of your mind

**Who we are looking for**:

- current valid FLT certification / license holder
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Good level of English communication skills (Speaking and Writing and Listening)
- Good level of Maths skills
- Show good teamwork skills and be able to work/liaise together to ensure team goals/objectives are successfully achieved
- First aid & Fire marshal trained (advantageous)

**Days and hours of work**:
Wednesday to Saturdays (4 days on, 3 days off per week)

17:00 - 05:00 (Nights)

**Salary**: £12.39 - £13.00 p/hr DOE

paid weekly
