Senior Project Controller

The role is responsible for the delivery of project controls within an assigned team

Key Accountabilities

1. Delivering project control tasks within assigned team; using MS Project, lifecycle briefcase, project reporting, invoicing and other project document creation and management.

2. Delivering project finance; debtors and cash collection, calculation of accruals, collation of cost journals and facility costs.

3. Supporting Project Control improvement activity, and sharing knowledge skills and best practice.

Key Capabilities/Knowledge

1. Awareness of project management; the project lifecycle and project finances.

2. Sharing knowledge, skills and best practice across QinetiQ.

3. Demonstrable competence in SAP, MS Excel (including add-ins), Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

4. Good organisational and record keeping skills.

5. Awareness of the project lifecycle and sales processes.

6. Experience of working to corporate procedures and the use of corporate tools.

7. Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload and multi-task.

8. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at varying levels.

9. Ability to work as part of a team and well as unsupervised.

Experience & Qualifications

1. Educated to a minimum of GCSE level (to included English and Mathematics).

2. Demonstrate competence against the agreed Project controls Competency Framework at a level of Foundation or APMI
