Housekeeping Supervisor

Dakota Hotel based in Glasgow city centre are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual with the highest standards of cleanliness for the role of Housekeeping Supervisor.

Located on West Regent St, we are easily accessible by bus and train, being less than a 15min walk from Buchannan St Bus Station, Queen St and Central Station.

We are an 83-bedroom luxury hotel boasting a destination cocktail bar, Jack’s Bar, cigar terrace, champagne room, and brasserie-style Grill.

**CONTRACT AND PAY RATE**

Earnings are £12 per hour, paid weekly equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £23,400.

The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 37.5 hours per week and typical shifts will be 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, working any 5 days out of 7 including working weekends.

**PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting housekeeping management withing the cleaning and housekeeping function as a whole, including our bedrooms, public areas, and back of house areas. The primary responsibilities of the role are:

- Work with meticulous attention to detail when checking standards of cleanliness, and oversee that all 83 bedrooms, and public areas are in accordance with brand standards.
- Undertaking the opening shift, allocating the room attendants rooms to clean for the day ensuring this is completed fairly and all rooms are covered.
- Allocating jobs of the day to the team.
- Ensuring all rooms are cleaned and inspected by 3pm.
- Working closely with the Maintenance Team to maintain the highest standards ensuring that the whole building is aesthetically well-maintained.
- Assist with the management of stock levels of linen and bedroom consumables to ensure brand standards are upheld at all times.
- Assist with end of day procedures such as washing cloths, tidying cupboards, and preparing turndown sheet.

**APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS**

The successful applicant will have/be:

- A minimum of two years experience in a housekeeping supervisory role [required].
- Strong leadership skills and experience in supervising or managing a team
- Working experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel [beneficial].
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for upholding the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Be fully computer literate.
- Hands-on approach to all aspects of the role, willing and able to support our team through all tasks necessary within the operation.
- Be able to be physically active in your role, standing for much of your shift checking rooms, and working at pace.
- An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
- Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
