Shop Assistant

**ROLE TITLE**:
SHOP ASSISTANT

**ROLE SALARY**:
National Living Wage, Part-Time 3 days per week including weekends.

**ROLE OVERVIEW**:
We are looking for a Shop Assistant to serve our customers and ensure they receive a high level of customer care. The role is responsible for greeting customers to our store, ensure product information is effectively communicated and complete the sale. We are offering a fantastic opportunity for someone to come and make their mark and develop their career within a fast-growing brand.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Serve customers, take payment, and provide exceptional support with their purchase.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by effectively dealing with any questions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the product to help the customer make an informed purchase.
- Assist the Shop Deputy Managers as required, including opening and closing the shop.
- Helping with stock management, ensuring the shop is well stocked and presentable.
- Accountable for the handling of cash in the shop and dealing with payments.
- Provide support to the warehouse team during quiet periods, or as required.
- Must be willing and able to occasionally work in our other stores, including Manchester

Northern Quarter, and off-site events such as festivals, shows and markets.

**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- Must be a well presented, articulate and confident individual.
- Able to work independently, and comfortable working as a team.
- Experience of Shopify POS is beneficial but not essential. Training will be given if necessary.
- A past role based around in-person sales and dealing with customers face to face is

essential.
- Knowledge about footwear and shoe care is desirable.
- Ability to keep calm and level-headed during busier times.
- The job will include manual handling duties, and therefore you must be able to conduct

manual handling up to the limits specified by the HSE.

**REPORT TO**:

- Directly reporting to our Shop Manager.
- Working closely with the Warehouse and Customer Service team.

**WORKING DAY & HOURS**:

- Flexible working consists of 3 days with weekend work covering the following work pattern.
- 9am - 4.30pm: Saturday & Sunday
- 8.30am - 5pm: Monday, Tuesday, Friday

**PLACE OF WORK**:

- LANX HQ, Whalley, BB7 9YE
- Remote working not available in this role.

**ANNUAL LEAVE**:

- Permitted 28 days annual leave per year.
- Due to an exceptionally busy trading period, not permitted to take annual leave in November and December
- There may be a Christmas shut down in December for all staff, for which annual leave must be used, dates tbc.
- Please note bank holidays are regarded as normal working days at LANX - however staff may request these as annual leave.

**MUST WORK**:

- Annual Sample Sale Weekend - usually March, date tbc
- 2 additional days around Black Friday - usually end of Nov.
- For the above additional days annual leave will be granted, or you can be paid 1.5 your normal day rate.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £10,500.00-£15,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 23.5 per week
