Evening Cleaning Supervisor

**Job description**

We are seeking an organised and responsible individual to take on this working supervisor role. Responsibilities includes supervising daily tasks, coordinating with staff, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining a high level of efficiency across the buildings.

**Location**: Old Bailey, London, EC4M 7AN **Hours of Work**: Monday - Friday (18:00pm - 22:00pm)
**Pay Rate**:£15.15 per hour

**Main Responsibilities and Activities**
- To manage the day-to-day cleaning service for the site ensuring all areas are cleaned to the requirements in the specification and the company standard.
- To ensure general and periodic cleaning tasks are carried out to the standards required in accordance with the specifications, method statements, service level agreements, and key performance indicators using a variety of cleaning methods, machinery, and materials. Adhering to the relevant safety regulations.
- To promote and safeguard the welfare of anyone you are in contact with.

**Key Tasks**
- Manage the day-to-day cleaning service for the site ensuring all areas are cleaned to the requirements in the specification.
- To ensure the site is left clean and fit for purpose.
- Be responsible for all security cards and keys held for access purposes and ensure their safe return when finished.
- In conjunction with the Assistant Site Manager produce daily and periodic cleaning schedules for cleaning staff.
- Be sure the signing sheets are filled adequately during the shifts.
- In conjunction with the Assistant Site Manager, induct, train, appraise, and develop staff.
- Manage annual leave requests, sickness absence, and Return to work forms.
- Provide and/or cover staff absences.
- Carry out stock checks of consumables.
- Assist in undertaking health and safety risk assessments on the cleaning functions, making appropriate recommendations for change or improvements.
- Maintain appropriate records, manual and computerised, for all cleaning works
- Be proactive looking for continuous improvement and innovation in all aspects of the job.
- Health & Safety: Wear protective clothing and uniform as required.
- Ensure the correct procedures and policies are always followed.
- Ensure that all chemicals have COSHH records and remove all non - conforming products from the site.
- Ensure cleaning stores always remain locked when not in use.
- In accordance with the Service Level Agreements, monitor and control the quality of work, carrying out daily performance checks, addressing any shortfalls, and report findings to the Site Manager.
- Report any building defect, bad practice, or health and safety issues to the Site Manager so that improvements can be made.
- Report all accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences to the Site Manager.
- Report damage and defects to equipment, fittings, fixtures, and infrastructure as required to the Site Manager.
- Ensure that all facilities, workspaces, and offices are kept tidy and that storage of materials is in accordance with appropriate Health and Safety requirements.
- Maintain health and safety standards in the cleaning team and comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Deliver training and toolbox talks.
- Work safely utilising appropriate safe working practices, including the safe use of machinery associated with the job.
- Take care of the health & safety of self, other persons, and resources.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in line with Health and Safety, Quality, and Environment policies and procedures.
- Ensure that high personal hygiene and infection control standards are maintained in relation to personal tasks
- Attend team meetings
- Participate in the Performance Management process
- Attend training as appropriate.

The person undertaking this role is expected to work within the policies, ethos and aims of the company and to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Manager.

The duties of this post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the post or the level of responsibility entailed.
