Facilities Assistant

We are currently working with a growing professional organisation in Leeds are looking to appoint a **Facilities Assistant** to support with the running of the office in Pudsey (LS28).
Core responsibilities of the Facilities Assistant:
- Overseeing onsite activities for all contractors on site for security, cleaning, maintenance, renovations, and office space reconfigurations.
- Ensuring that office equipment is in good working order, stationary is replenished, and all employee facilities are always clean and tidy.
- Carry out basic office furniture moves, renovations and repairs. The successful applicant will be responsible for complying with all relevant safety, health and building maintenance regulations.
- Ad-hoc reception duties including welcoming visitors, taking deliveries and general reception enquiries.
- Responsibility for weekly fire alarm testing & periodic drills, H&S risk assessments, incident & accident reporting and logs. Also carry out the duties of Fire Marshal and First Aider for the business.
- Coordination of meeting room services, including basic IT set ups, catering and room preparation, refreshments and clearing away when meetings have finished.
- In the absence of the Office Services Coordinator, managing the facilities inbox and responding to ad-hoc requests within the SLA.
- Responsible for replenishing consumables around the office, including staff kitchens, WCs, and stationary, sundries (tea, coffee, milk, buffets, etc.,) and notifying the Office Services Coordinator when supplies are running low.
- Taking meter readings for gas and electricity on a monthly basis to ensure that invoicing is accurate.
- Undertaking weekly building inspections across the offices, carrying out basic remedial work where possible, and reporting more significant findings to the Office Services Coordinator.
The successful Facilities Assistant will have strong administrative, IT and customer service skills as well as prior experience overseeing office/facilities services. Ideal applicants will also hold a health & safety qualification such as IOSH as well as First Aid & Fire Marshall certificates.
For this the client offer their Facilities Assistant a salary of £24,000 per annum plus generous benefits package including company bonus up to 10% of salary.
