**Health & Safety Advisor, Southampton, £45,000**

**The purpose of this role**

As Health & Safety Advisor you'll be joining a **close knit team,** frequently travelling to different sites in the South of England, fulfilling all moral & legal responsibilities as well as **following the current legislation requirements** to best ensure the safety of all employees.

**As Health & Safety Advisor you'll be responsible for**:

- Ensuring the health, safety, welfare, **environment** and fire safety of yourself and others
- Arranging and attending the **health and safety walk arounds**, offering guidance and advice to ensure a safe working environment
- Undertaking health and safety committee meetings, **addressing any safety issues** with both site management and the union representatives
- Maintaining the **COSHH risk assessment** to ensure all paperwork is relevant and accurate for all products on site by
- Ensuring the **fire risk assessment** and paperwork is up-to-date, conducting **regular efficient drills** and inspections
- Attending incidents (where applicable), **conducting investigations** and reporting all findings
- Organising all appropriate **staff training**

**As Health & Safety Advisor your skills & experience will include**:

- Full/Part-qualified in health and safety (i.e., **NEBOSH/NCRQ)**:

- Experience in administration and competent IT skills
- Ability to work to given deadlines and maintain a high attention to detail
- Desirable experience working in a hazardous industry
