**The job**

The purpose of your role as Specifications Technologist is to ensure that data relating to product information is managed through appropriate systems for all branded, private label and 3rd party products.

Key tasks:

- Create and approve finished good product specifications for all branded products using internal specification systems and documents.
- Update specifications on a range of retailer systems such as; Trace One, WWP and others.
- Check and approve product packaging (at both artwork and design stage) for compliance with mandatory information according to the market of sale.
- Support the stage and gate process with all branded and private label business projects from an artwork and specification perspective
- Update and create relevant trackers associated with artwork and specifications as necessary.
- Support with product information requests relating to distributors, export requirements, internal audits and others as needed.
- Assist with developing supporting documentation to improve processes and support in the streamlining of product data
- Uphold relevant product data information for compliance to external accreditations, such as Soil Association, Non-GMO, and Wholegrain Council.

**Skills & experience required**

Key skills and experience for the Specifications Technologist include:

- Experience working in a technical/specifications role in the food manufacturing industry (could be from a University placement).
- Knowledge of food labelling legislation for the UK, EU, and international markets.
- Experience working with various specification software systems such as Hamilton Grant, Trace One and WWP etc. is highly desirable.
- Excellent administration and IT skills, and high attention to detail.

The Specifications Technologist job is based in Bedfordshire and is paying £23,000 - £27,000 according to your experience.

The core working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5.30 pm, and flexibility is available including hybrid working (3-4 days working from home) and the ability to adjust your start/finish times to suit your preference.
