We are currently looking for an experienced and qualified teacher to join this Outstanding SEN School in Havering. The school caters for students aged 2-19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Profound and MultipleLearning Difficulties (PMLD). In addition, some students at this school may exhibit challenging behaviour, sensory impairments or physical disabilities. The school is based in the London borough of Havering although students come from all over London and theoutskirts. The class sizes in this small school are not large and are very manageable (6-8 pupils) as well as being well resourced in terms of both equipment and staffing ratios (2-3 TAs).

This SEN School boasts a number of specialist facilities on site including a multi-sensory room, soft play room, gym and playground. Situated only a short walk from the rail station and a number of bus stops making it easily accessible by public transport.This is a highly regarded special needs school with a happy environment and great links in the community.

Due to the needs of the children, this SEN school is looking for someone with experience in working with children with similar needs. Experience in planning differentiated lessons and marking students work is essential. Each child has an individual learningplan you would be expected to write, monitor and discuss with therapists, parents and senior leadership.

This SEN school trains all staff in Team Teach in order to manage behaviour and a number of communication aids including PECS and Makaton.
