Trainee Accountant

We are looking for an organized and hard-working professional to join our growing Accountancy Practice, based in Wellingborough, as a Trainee Accountant (Apprentice).

**Role Responsibilities**

The main roles listed below:

- Bookkeeping - entering source information, such as sales invoices, purchase invoices on to excel and online software.
- Reconcile sales ledger/purchase ledger control accounts.
- Data input and bank reconciliations.
- Basic payroll.
- Draft VAT returns on QuickBooks and Xero.
- Prepare supporting schedules and reconciling control accounts.
- Assisting senior members of staff.
- Ad hoc related administration tasks.
**Requirements and Personal Specification**
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical and written skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- GCSE in Maths and English (C and above).
- Enthusiastic and confident approach to learning.
- Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated.
**Hours and salary**:

- 30 hours per week (Monday to Thursday).
- Rising to 35 hours per week from September.
- Supported by Starting-Off AAT qualification (20% off-the-job training)
- £8,000 annual salary (based on 30 hours per week)
- Pay rise after successful 3-month probation period
