An exciting opportunity has become available supporting people with mental health issues in a community setting. The Assistant Practitioner role would include using a recovery model approach to positive health and wellbeing to support this client group, under the supervision and guidance of the mental health practitioners in a Community Mental Health Team.

The post holder will be required to undertake a range of clinical interventions, one to one and via groups, such as - anxiety management, cognitive behavioural skills, and counselling approaches in order to promote mental wellbeing, alongside clinical duties such as supporting clinicians with the set up and running of the Clozapine clinic, depot clinic, and physical health monitoring, to include venepuncture, ECG.

Other duties will include supporting clients in a person-centred approach to achieve goals set within their care and treatment plans, maintaining accurate patient records, being efficient in the use of ICT, managing and ordering clinical stock, and being prepared to work flexibly in undertaking other duties as required, both within and outside of the designated service area.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
