This role involves advanced data analyses from an active multi-centre prospective cohort of pregnant women and their infants, as well as the development of novel methodological approaches. This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with an international and multidisciplinary team in designing and developing a pregnancy pharmacovigilance toolbox tailored for LMICs. The postholder will also have the opportunity to lead and develop several ongoing and new projects, particularly focusing on malaria in pregnancy. **Key responsibilities will include**: **Pregnancy Pharmacovigilance Toolbox Development** - Lead the development of a searchable repository of background rates related to pregnancy outcomes. - Design and conduct systematic literature reviews and advanced data analysis. - Engage with international partners and experts in pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology, and perinatal epidemiology. - Develop and deliver training materials and workshops for healthcare professionals in LMICs. **Research & Data Analysis** - Conduct a scoping review on the pipeline of therapeutics for pregnancy or women of childbearing age in LMICs. - Lead secondary analyses of the MiMBa Pregnancy Exposure Registry database. - Develop and implement analysis plans, produce well-documented data analysis code, and generate research outputs. - Communicate results effectively within the research group and contribute to the planning of future research activities. **Research Output & Grant Development** - Lead or contribute significantly to manuscript writing and publication in peer-reviewed journals. - Develop research ideas and identify funding opportunities and collaborations. **Training & Collaboration** - Mentor and supervise junior research staff and MSc students. - Collaborate with international research partners. - Significant experience in epidemiological research. - Ability to independently lead research, including design, implementation, and interpretation. - Strong understanding of research methods and ability to critically evaluate literature. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. - Experience working in LMICs and understanding of associated challenges. - Track record of publishing first-author manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. **In Return We Offer**: - 30 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and additional Christmas closure days. - Generous occupational pension schemes. - Government-backed "cycle to work" scheme. - Discounted staff membership to the University of Liverpool Sports Centre. - A range of additional family-friendly policies. **Application Process**: **Inclusion is Central to Our Values at LSTM** **About LSTM** Founded in 1898 and the oldest of its kind in the world, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for teaching and research in tropical diseases.
