**About the Role**

The Heathers is a welcoming, friendly residential service for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs, including mental health issues and dementia. Individuals are actively encouraged to be part of their local community and enjoy leisureand social activities in nearby Kettering and to seek local work opportunities.

There are good local transport links nearby and also transport facilities on site so individuals can join activities of their choice as much as they wish to. We place great importance on helping people learn new skills and to take an active interest in therunning of the home with their own areas of responsibility such as cleaning, washing and preparing and cooking meals.

You’ll be responsible for supporting an inclusive lifestyle within the community as individuals attend local colleges or day trips out. Develop greater independence and daily living skills by assisting with the upkeep of the service, preparing meals, shoppingand domestic duties. Providing help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing whilst working across various shift patterns including early, late and weekend and night shifts.
