**What you'll do**:
In your new role, you'll be working across the function, helping define and mature a consistent and impactful prioritisation model for change at all levels in P&T Exco. You’ll be improving the planning and delivery process by collecting and maintaining data in a consistent form. You’ll also support the project governance and control including tracking the performance and progress of projects, project financial control and adoption.
In addition, you'll be developing guidelines, procedures and templates to collect and maintain consistent data, and providing hands-on delivery support to a programme or project. You'll support with the creation and update of programme or project plans as required by the programme or project manager.
It’ll be your responsibility to:
- Support the identification of where cross-project dependencies exist and track or monitor these in support of the manager
- Use your specialist planning and financial skills to ensure the portfolio meets minimum standard re control and reporting
- Provide MI and analysis to support the decision making around resourcing, including any necessary flex of teams in collaboration with business heads via controls and visible backlogs
- Build, manage and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders by collaborating across multiple parts of the function and at different levels of hierarchy
- Help maintain the integrity of the portfolio through supporting and embedding best practice Agile skills/tools across the business team with alignment to ID2V and LPM methodology
- Support management in the implementation of agreed regular progress reporting mechanisms for all projects and thereby monitor routine progress of projects, and assist in the preparation of the portfolio level status highlight reports
**The skills you'll need**:
You’ll need experience of project support roles internally or externally, and knowledge of project types and the project lifecycle.
You’ll also need:
- Expertise in tools such as MS Office, Planview, Oracle and SharePoint
- Knowledge of organisational processes and procedures, including risk frameworks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
