Adult Counsellor

**Job description**

**We are seeking a**dedicated and compassionate counsellor specialising in working with adults, to join our growing team in Broadstone.

**ReWellness Counselling** is passionate about providing opportunities for growth and change. We offer a bespoke counselling service looking holistically at every client and their personal life journey. Our private referrals include relationship, parent and family work, alongside our work with adults, children and young people. Our aim is to empower individuals to make positive changes that in turn impacts their families and the wider community.

A minimum Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling or equivalent qualification is a must for this role, along with a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience or equivalent in hours. The ability to engage people effectively and create a safe space for them to express themselves.

**Responsibilities**:
- To provide initial assessments and evaluate risk and the appropriateness of counselling for clients referred to ReWellness.
- Provide individual sessions to clients over the age of 18 years.
- Using a wide range of therapeutic modalities with a Person Centred Approach at the core of all work undertaken.
- Cultivate good working relationships.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, following ReWellness policies and procedures.
- Risk assessing and safeguarding.

**Requirements**:

- Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (or equivalent)
- Registered with a professional body such as BACP
- Enhanced DBS
- Passion along with an ability to connect with people of all ages
- Strong knowledge of counselling theories and techniques
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients and establish a trusting therapeutic relationship
- Empathy and compassion for individuals facing emotional challenges
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

**Working Hours**: Between 1pm & 8pm Mon-Fri

Expected hours: 8- 25 + per week
