**Job Overview**
Arden House is a 14 bed residential home for the elderly, in Pickering. We pride ourselves with high standards of infection control. We are currently seeking a Domestic Cleaner to join our friendly team. The post of a Domestic Cleaner at Arden House consists of covering sickness and holidays covering all shifts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Clean and sanitise resident's bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs.
- Follow health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as required.
- Ensure all areas are left in a clean and orderly condition for residents, staff and visitors.

**Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Good time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.
- Previous experience in a cleaning role is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.

The shifts we have available are:
Week 1: Thursday 9:30am - 2pm, Friday 9:30am - 2pm

Week 2: Saturday 9:30am - 2pm, Sunday 9:30am - 2pm

Please note this position is relief, with a view to becoming permanent.

Pay: £12.35-£12.85 per hour
