**Senior Care Assistant - Beautiful Care Home**

- **Negotiable Salary: £10.90 - £11.40 per hour negotiable depending on experience**:

- **Hours**:Full time hours or Part time hours depending on preference (22 hours, 33 hours and/or 44 hours options available)
- **Shifts**:

- Days and night available - all shifts are 12 hours 8/8 start and finish time
- **Contract type**:Permanent

Welcome bonus of £250 for 22 hours and £500 for over 22 hours. (Bank contract not included)

**Ideally, you'll have an S/NVQ 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, a background in person centered, care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia**

Right now, we are looking for a **Senior **Care assistant **to lead our team of dedicated care assistant based in **Hexham, Northumberland.**

**A typical day will involve**:

- Assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence care. Providing the highest standards of care, you'll champion the dignity, and independence of all our residents
- Provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for residents' safety and dignity.
- Supporting at meal times: serving meals and transferring residents to the dining room. This might involve supporting them to walk, transferring them in a wheelchair or using a hoist
- Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that residents receive the medical and clinical support they require
- To ensure the rota is covered for upcoming shifts and relief staff are allocated shifts as & when required
- Support new Team Leaders and care staff in the completion of induction programs, training and competency assessment.
- Admin duties: updating food, fluid and stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes and care plans
