**The company**

Join a National FM contractor with a full range of Clients and contracts nationwide.

Our client provides general facilities maintenance and construction project work to the commercial sector as well as facilities maintenance services to the Public Sector and Private Sector at multiple sites.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Officer based in Salisbury.

The hours of work are: 9am-5pm (Monday to Friday).

**The role**
- Advise on employment legislation, company personnel policies and procedures to ensure compliance, management of performance and effective employee relations.
- Provide advice to Line Managers and Directors on all HR issues in order to minimise risk exposure to the Company.
- Developing an action plan for each case.
- Supporting managers through the various stages of procedures by preparing letters and providing written and oral guidance.
- Promote effective communication and management of change within the business through formal organisation announcements, newsletters, team briefings, HR Surgeries and Town Hall Briefings.
- Advise on company policies with regard to terms and conditions of employment and monitor operational salary scales to ensure they are in line with company and industry norm
- Participate and contribute to corporate and company HR strategies, policies and procedures ensuring that operational requirements are met.
- Deal effectively with employee relations matters including Trade Union interface.

**Could this be for you?**
- Experience in an HR role in an FM environment.
- A good knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
- CIPD qualified or working towards qualification.
- A sensible approach to people management in order to reduce risk in employment matters.
- Experience of working with a quality management system with a high degree of procedural compliance.

**Other factors**:

- The position requires the jobholder to travel on a UK wide basis.
