**Rental Manager**

The primary responsibility will be to efficiently oversee the day to day operations of the Rental Department, you will promote products and services whilst maintaining and developing customer relations.

**Role Requirements**
- Experience in working within commercial vehicle/fleet management.
- Necessary technical knowledge of vehicles and basic maintenance issues.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment & prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.
- The ability to solve problems, use initiative and increase efficiencies.
- Be a team player and strong team management experience.
- Have good organisation & planning skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Professional telephone manner & exemplary customer service skills.
- Confident with IT systems (e.g. Microsoft, Google, Windows).
- Driving licence required (D1 and C1 desirable).

**Advantageous**
- Practical experience of managing commercial vehicle branch with commercial responsibility.
- Experience working within a growing business.
- Fleet Management/database systems experience.

**Role Responsibilities (not limited)**
- Assist Operations Manager with all fleet activities and deputise as required to oversee team objectives including rental targets, downtime & fleet utilisation, maintenance control, compliance and administration.
- Assist with customer queries.
- Maintaining stock availability, managing reservations, new vehicle onboarding and arranging additional specification.
- BVRLA & Industry Compliance, roadworthiness and cleanliness of the fleet to ensure we provide outstanding service.
- Ensuring accurate paperwork & robust process are followed for all reservations and off hires.
- Manage branch assistants and drivers, ensuring they provide high levels of service.
- Provide clear leadership and direction for staff ensuring the appropriate development/training is provided.
- Oversee the onsite valeting team to ensure vehicles meet required standard.
- Carry out regular yard checks to ensure vehicle records are accurate & ensure overall site is clean & tidy with vehicles stored efficiently, representing the correct brand image.
- Ensure correct H&S site guidelines, PPE equipment & subcontractor protocols are adhered to.
- Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of all vehicle files and spare keys.
- Oversee Rental invoicing, sign off process, ensuring records are accurately managed and recharges are promptly passed for action.
- Ensure paperwork is promptly received from suppliers, actioned accordingly and filed.
- Engage with external service providers to maintain strong working relationships.
