Real Estate Knowledge Lawyer

We are looking for a Knowledge Lawyer (PSL) to join our Real Estate Knowledge Team.

The role will be based at our Bristol office and is intended to be full-time, but we are very happy to consider applicants looking to work four days a week.

**The opportunity**

You will provide technically excellent, business-focused and pro-active Knowledge support to the Real Estate fee earner teams across our three UK offices.

This Knowledge Lawyer role has been created due to the growth of the Real Estate team and its need for high quality Knowledge Lawyer support

**The key responsibilities**

Joining our Real Estate Knowledge Team, you will provide knowledge support to our UK-based Real Estate team (100+ fee earners) on a broad range of work which includes investments, commercial developments, residential developments and operational real estate.

The Real Estate Knowledge Team:

- creates and maintains precedents, guidance notes, checklists, general advice notes and other products to support our fee earner teams in providing a comprehensive lifecycle service to our clients;
- keeps the fee earner teams up-to-date on legal, regulatory and market practice developments through written legal updates, organising and chairing knowledge exchange sessions, and by developing and delivering legal training to the Real Estate team; and
- supports our fee earners with technical legal queries, providing solutions-focused, practical advice.

We are keen to increase the number of client 'Insights' and other external knowledge publications produced within Real Estate.

**Technical skills and experience**

We are looking for:

- A fee earning lawyer or current Knowledge Lawyer (PSL) with experience of working in a commercial law firm.
- Enthusiasm for presenting technical legal and regulatory issues in a clear, accessible and professional manner to both our legal teams and to clients.
- A client-orientated approach and a demonstrable interest in client knowledge activities, with prior experience of presenting to clients as well as to internal audiences.
- Commercial awareness, including an ability to think laterally and to develop ideas in relation to business opportunities and products, and an appreciation of fee earner needs and constraints.
- Proficiency in generating the confidence of others, particularly at senior levels and in building the networks required to obtain the buy-in of relevant partner and other stakeholders
- An ability to make decisions and progress work and projects quickly without undue process or over-complication; and a motivated self-starter.
- An understanding of how technology can be used to drive productivity gains and cost efficiencies
