Product Marketing Executive

**Main purpose of job**

Day Group Limited has operated as a family-owned and run Company for over 70 years. The Group includes Day Aggregates, Day Equestrian, Day Contracting and Day Glass Recycling. We are now seeking to recruit a Product Marketing Executive / Product Marketer to join the marketing department based at our Southampton office.

Sitting at the junction between our products and the customer, you will become the expert on market trends, the target audiences, and the competition for the marketing department and the wider business. You will also look to develop an understanding of consumers’ motivations to purchase our products, as well as help steer product positioning by analysing the competitive landscape.

Working with the marketing manager, you will assist in developing product campaigns, marketing materials and aid in the training and education of internal teams. In all circumstances, you will act as the product guardian, ensuring understanding through concise and consistent marketing messaging.

**Key Responsibilities and Objectives**
- Responsible for coordinating product marketing across all business areas and in the
development and delivery of product marketing support
- Support the marketing manager in the execution of company marketing and
communication strategies, including associated tactical planning and implementation
- Understand trends and customer needs from an end-user perspective, creating
buyer/user personas with the support of the marketing manager and external marketing
support/consultants
- Develop knowledge of our wider product offering, becoming an expert in our portfolio of
products and services
- Contribute to the creation of marketing campaigns and collateral (both online and
offline), such as advertisements, brochures, case studies and technical specifications,
liaising with designers, printers and digital consultants as required
- Maintain company websites, updating content and visual imagery as required
- Creating digital marketing materials, such as customer newsletters and promotional
- Maintain and manage the company’s social media communication channels, drafting
engaging articles and posts and acting as a point of liaison across the business
- Support internal communication campaigns to effectively distribute key information to
intended stakeholders across the company
- Prepare coherent monthly marketing reports using data analysis tools for events,
websites, and social media, closely monitoring each channel’s effectiveness
- Ensure all activities/campaigns/events adhere to the agreed marketing budgets
- Understand the brand guidelines and consistently implement the brand voice across all
marketing channels and materials

**Additional Duties**
- Maintain Day Group’s marketing digital asset management portals with the latest marketing collateral for distribution
- Support business teams with customer marketing requests
- Support the marketing manager in planning, executing, and attending national and regional events/exhibitions
- Support the marketing manager with new product development programmes, product launches and business awareness initiatives
- Actively participate in marketing campaigns and corporate events
- Raise purchase order requests for marketing expenditure, ensuring invoices are processed effectively

**Skills and Experience**

**Required**:

- Minimum of two years experience working in a marketing related position
- Working closely within marketing, sales, or commercial teams
- Experience working directly with customers and consumers
- Content marketing - both creating and broadcasting via social media channels
- Supporting or coordinating events and/or exhibitions

**Advantageous**:

- Marketing or communications related degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., CIM)
- Has worked within a multi-site organisation
- Familiar, either personally or professionally, with the aggregate or building industry
- Has previously marketed technical products or services
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Experience using WordPress or similar Content Management System (CMS)
- Experience using digital asset management tools or eMarketing solutions

Salary depends on experience and aptitude.

40 hours per week (Monday-Friday), inclusive of 30 minutes unpaid lunch.
