Ian Chamberlain Groundworks Limited is a small, personally run business based in the Cotswolds and has run as an established company for over 15 years. The business holds an excellent reputation within the industry, working hard to ensure we provide a high level of customer service with a high standard of workmanship. The majority of our works are for private domestic clients or small developers, all within an hour of Cirencester.

There is no requirement for travel or working away. This position is 7am until 5pm Monday to Friday.

This is an employed position for a multi-site drop delivery of materials and equipment to our private sites and works.

This role requires the applicant to be physically fit as there is lifting and carrying of materials and equipment involved, manual handling and possibly points where on-site labouring would be required also.

Due to our location and nature of our business, driving is essential therefore we request applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have their own transport to and from our yard.

This role also demands holding entitlement to drive 7.5T vehicles, for which the applicant would ideally have a clean licence with no endorsements and a digital tacho card and valid driver CPC.

A basic general knowledge of construction materials and local area would be beneficial but not essential.

**Objectives**

Driving of 7.5T vehicle in accordance with regulations. Delivery/collection of materials and equipment to our sites.

**Reporting**
Reporting to the director - Ian Chamberlain & Transport Manager

**Key Responsibilities**
- Driving of 7.5T vehicle
- Deliveries to site, help site set up/clearance
- Complying with Health and Safety policy and procedures
- Wearing PPE
- General labouring & basic site work may be involved
- Driving company vehicles
- Ensure company property is looked after & accounted for

**Competencies**
- Physically fit for duties that will include lifting & carrying
- Basic knowledge of construction materials & local area
- Conscientious, organised
- Ability to think ahead and give consideration to the job at hand, using initiative
- Use of power tools
- Self-motivated, keen to learn and prepared to work in all weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual

**Education/Experience**
- Must hold a clean, valid full UK driving licence including 7.5t entitlement
- Valid driver CPC
- Digital tacho card
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience
