**How will your role contribute at NewDay?**

**What will you be doing day-to-day?**
- Own the month end close process, working with stakeholders across the Operations teams to ensure accurate accounting for Servicing, IT and Premises costs, including allocation of all costs across portfolios, as well as maintaining the Fixed Asset register
- Own the associated balance sheet reconciliations ensuring high quality support is in place and support monthly balance sheet reporting and analysis
- Prepare monthly cost reports, providing insightful analysis of performance and highlighting areas for further investigation. Support Commercial Finance in understanding results and the drivers of variances to budget/forecast
- Responsible for Finance Verification control for any Servicing, IT or Premises costs raised through the Purchase Ledger system to ensure they are correctly accounted for
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to the Financial Control Framework and contribute to the delivery of continuous process and control improvements for assigned areas of responsibility

**Your Skills and Experience**

**ESSENTIAL**
- ACCA or CIMA part qualified
- Strong communication skills with an ability to listen to and communicate with different levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Proactive with the ability to analyse performance to deliver insight which is presented clearly and concisely
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Good attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to analyse and present large volumes of numerical data as insightful information

**DESIRABLE**
- Experience in use of finance systems (Sun GL, Infor Q&A)
