**Job summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting managers as required, liaising with other members of the team to ensure that residents receive an excellent standard of care and service during mealtimes and throughout the day.
- You will exhibit courtesy and respect to residents at all times, working closely with management and other members of staff to oversee and ensure a peaceful, enjoyable dining experience for the residents.
- You will be responsible for the overall appearance and presentation of the dining areas, including (but not limited to) seating, lighting, music, table decor and atmosphere.
- You will have a good understanding and be passionate about the importance of nutrition and hydration for the residents, ensuring that any special dietary requirements are fulfilled.
- You will exercise good time management, ensuring all duties are completed in a timely manner.
- Adhering to professional standards, following Company policies and procedures and the regulatory requirements provided by the care quality commissioning group.

**Required skills**:

- Excellent communication skills, with elderly residents, visitors and other members of staff.
- You will genuinely want to make a real difference to the lives of our residents.
- You will be reliable, dependable and a team player who is willing to help others.
- You must have exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience in care or hospitality is welcome, but not required as full training will be provided.
- Leadership experience is desirable but commitment and aptitude are essential.
- Flexibility to work shifts.
- You will demonstrate genuine enthusiasm towards the role and the care sector.
- The ability to take initiative and to have a positive, can-do attitude is essential.
