Kervan Gida, a leading confectionary company, is seeking an Accounts Administrator/Bookkeeper to join their finance team. The position will be responsible for providing support to the company's accounting and finance department by assisting with day-to-day financial tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

The role will be based full time from our new Wimbledon office.

**Job Overview**

You will support the Finance Manager and Sales Manager on a day-to-day basis across a range of accounting and bookeeping activities.

We will provide on-the-job training and mentoring. However it is important that

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Accounting team in managing the day-to-day financial operations, including recording financial transactions, updating general ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, such as invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable, including verifying and reconciling vendor invoices, customer payments, and credit notes.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and financial reports, as needed.
- Help monitor and manage inventory, including conducting periodic stock counts and reconciling any discrepancies.
- Maintain and organize financial documents and records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in payroll processing, including maintaining employee records, calculating hours worked, and preparing payroll reports.
- Assist with year-end financial audits and tax filings, as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, purchasing, and operations, to ensure accurate financial information and smooth financial operations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and company policies, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
- Punctual, reliable, and capable of working unsupervised.
- You should be willing to learn and have great customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both face-to-face and on the telephone.
- Strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail.
- Possess IT skills and have a working knowledge of Windows-based packages. Holds a positive and a ‘can do’ attitude to all tasks presented to them.
- Has strong customer service skills as well as high-level administration.
- Be motivated, and hard-working. A passion for food will be an added advantage.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a confectionary or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
- Familiarity with UK accounting regulations and tax laws is a plus.
