**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HR Consultant / Human Resources Advisorwith proven experience in generalist HR, including Employee Relations, providing advice on employment related issues and delivering training to people managers.

Working as the HR Consultant / Human Resources Advisor you will provide a business-focussed employee relations service to managers and staff, enabling employees to be their best self and contribute fully to the organisation.

As the HR Consultant / Human Resources Advisor you will work closely with the Senior HR Consultant, HR Business Partners and managers to support the organisation’s overall strategic goals, the people strategy and directorate business objectives.

**DUTIES**

As the HR Consultant / Human Resources Advisoryour duties will include:

- Partner with the business directorates to enable them to achieve organisational objectives through their people
- Support the resolution of employee relations cases to minimise the potential outcome risks for the organisation
- Drive and support the maintenance of an effective Employee Relations framework
- Consult, challenge and support managers through issues relating to workplace relations including restructure, TUPE and consultation
- Enable line managers to minimise sickness absence via the provision of data and compliance with process
- Support the delivery of in-house training and development workshops
- Build and maintain influential, collaborative and trusted relationships internally with management and senior leaders
- Maintain an overview of all resourcing activity within designated directorate and work with the resourcing team to ensure line managers are aware of appropriate procedures
- Accurately record HR metrics data
- Lead and drive specific HR projects as delegated by the Senior HR Consultant

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**Essential**
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in generalist HR, including Employee Relations: providing advice on employment related issues and managing caseload
- Delivering training to people managers
- Supporting organisational change including consultation
- Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and potential future developments
- Demonstrable coaching / meditation or facilitation skills
- Proven ability to build highly effective and collaborative working relationships with line managers and senior managers
- Proven ability to coach managers & the wider HR team in order to develop their capability and reach positive outcomes
- Proven and demonstrable strong advisory skills
- Demonstrable ability to manage own workload and prioritise competing priorities
