Support Worker

The Support Worker must have a desire to support clients with daily living activities, including grooming, dressing, and ambulation. Excellent communication skills are essential to this position, as is the ability to work collaboratively with clients and their family in a professional manner. You will need to be able to commute to client’s homes around the Chipping Norton, Long Compton, Moreton in Marsh area’s but we will endeavour to place potential clients with the nearest carer. Mileage will be reimbursed and the cost of a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) will be met by the recruiting company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide personal care.
- Provide basic care for client’s who are unable to care for themselves.
- Be part of a team who provides for the physical and emotional needs of client’s.
- Understand legal regulations regarding the welfare of patients including those set by local, state, and governments.
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds (18 kilograms); understand how to use personal protective equipment when caring for patients in hospitals or other clinical settings with infections that require it; be able to work in environments where there is a possibility of injury, bodily fluids, or contagious diseases; and be able to work in environments with extreme noise levels; be able to work at night and on weekends as part of a rotation schedule.

**Job Types**: Zero hours contract, Part-time, Full-time
Contract length: 24 months
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: £13.00 per hour
