**JOB PURPOSE**:
To act as governance lead and SME across the EMEIA payrolls.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Acts as custodian for data quality, pro-actively working to deploy controls, protocols, and frameworks to ensure that data transmitted to suppliers is of the highest standards
- Develop process controls and ways of working which promote timely and accurate delivery of data to suppliers
- Demonstrate innovation in helping to implement improvements across the team
- Partner with colleagues across the payroll team to ensure supplier compliance on payroll delivery
- Use data and analytics to effectively communicate with and influence stakeholders to elevate data quality standards across the time and pay landscapes
- Leverage reporting solutions to assist payroll team members with checking and assurance
- Demonstrate collaborative business partnering approach with immediate team members, colleagues and stakeholders across all departments to identify improvement opportunities to processes/controls, systems, ways of working, etc.
- Own the relationship with Finance on the accurate provision of general ledger information
- Control access levels to payroll data and reporting
- Help ensure data protection compliance across all areas of the team
- Use data and technology to focus on leveraging efficiencies
- Undertake purchase order and supplier payment processes
- Lead on the fulfilment of audit requirements and information requests from across the business and from third parties
- Manage the documentation of risk and works with colleagues to define and implement changes and implement mitigations
- Work closely with the Team Leader to monitor adherence to process controls in order to promote timely and accurate pay and the optimisation of the payroll delivery model
- Approach problems and challenges with enthusiasm and positivity, pro-actively exploring opportunities for improvement and inspiring team participation

**PERSONAL PROFILE**:

- Knowledge of payrolls across a number of Burberry markets including key/salient rules operating on collective bargaining agreements
- Prior experience of out-sourced models across multiple countries payrolls
- Ability to translate complex payroll matters and issues into easy-to-understand terms for colleagues outside of payroll
- Demonstrate solution-based approach - aim to understand what others try to achieve; exercise empathy to understand their challenges/difficulties and drive solutions
- Demonstrates a business partnering approach including working closely with stakeholders outside of the payroll function to understand business priorities
- Demonstrate strong partnership ethic and seamlessly engage with colleagues across all teams to positively pursue solutions and enhance colleague / customer experience
- Demonstrate continuous improvement approach to working practices with the aim of elevating colleague experience and implementing efficiencies
