Job Summary

Responsible for preparing and operating CNC laser machinery to create precise designs, safely, for a variety of large metal products.

**Hourly rate**:
**£14:00-£16:00**

**Hours of work**:
**Monday - Friday 06:00 AM- 2:30 PM**

Key Responsibilities:

- Loading and set up of laser machine, based on material type, thickness, load programs and set machine parameters.
- Reading and interpreting laser programmes and production packs.
- Ensuring material is checked for size, thickness and grade, prior to cutting and to inform the Team Leader of any quality concerns regarding the material.

Essential
- 2 + years’ experience operating a CNC laser machine
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience working with sheet metal with the ability to distinguish material types including aluminium, steel, stainless steel, copper and brass, and material thickness
- Ability to read and interpret laser programmes
- Working knowledge of engineering materials and processing of materials such as steel

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
