Due to continued growth, our client is looking to employ a personable and motivated **Assistant Buyer.** The purpose of this role is to support in the sourcing of products and commodities; In addition to:

- Ensuring that purchase orders and requisitions are placed on a timely basis.
- Using the company Order Replenishment System (MRP)
- Support the team by maintaining and monitoring KPI's to optimise supply chain performance
- Identifying opportunities for cost saving initiatives and liaising with relevant stakeholders
- Contacting suppliers and hauliers to establish estimated arrival times to ensure on time delivery
- Liaising with Production and Production planning on material availability and deliveries

To be successful in the role of **Assistant Buyer**, we would like to speak to anyone who has experience in the following:

- working within a procurement-based role, preferably within manufacturing
- Has a commercial awareness with good business acumen
- Cost conscious; has an appetite for driving improvements and adding value
- Excellent attention to detail; highly numerate
- Experience of operating an Order Replenishment System
