**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Assist teachers in planning and implementing educational activities tailored to students' needs.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to reinforce learning concepts.
- Support students with special educational needs, including those on the autism spectrum, by employing effective communication strategies.
- Mentor and guide students in their academic and social development.
- Help maintain a safe and organised classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual student performance.
- Collaborate with educators and other staff members to develop strategies for enhancing student engagement and success.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
- Familiarity with special education practices, particularly in relation to autism, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with students and staff.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding when working with diverse learners.
- Previous experience in tutoring or mentoring roles will be an advantage.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports all learners' needs is crucial.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £15.95-£18.95 per hour
