**Purpose of Job**
This is a newly created position where you will work with the Estates Team at Birketts. Reporting into the Estates and Infrastructure Manager who leads the Estates team to manage the buildings, infrastructure and supporting regulations, Planned PreventiveMaintenance (PPM) and reactive works across a range of hard services.
You will be dealing directly with staff, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver a proactive service which supports the contractual KPI’s, SLA’s of the business; supporting and delivering the requirements of hard services contracts, managing the day to dayoperational provisions and maintenance of integrated services within the Birketts Norwich Office but also other Birketts offices currently including Ipswich, Cambridge, Chelmsford, and London.
**Accountabilities**
- To ensure buildings are maintained and operated in accordance with maintenance schedules, company policies and current legislation.
- Escorting of sub contracts for various Soft and Hard Service disciplines.
- Health & Safety
- Statutory and regulatory compliance.
- Planned and reactive and planned maintenance.
- Post duties and temporary cover of Front of House team.
- Reprograpgics duties.
- Assisting the Records Dept.
- Be a team member and support Operations colleagues in their support of the Business.
The role will be based from our Norwich office, but after a qualifying period, travel to our Cambridge and or Ipswich office will be expected around once a week. You will drive our company vehicle, and this will be within working hours.
- Previous experience and knowledge of Facilities Management (Hard and soft services).
- A knowledge of Health and Safety regulations to ensure the highest levels of Health and Safety are achieved across the business.
- Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) experience within an office environment.
- Experience of management of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Organised with the ability to prioritise workloads, meeting SLAs and deadlines.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal, with ability to work with all levels of management.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc) and information databases.
- Full UK Driving licence as frequent travel to other offices.
**Essential**:
- Previous experience and knowledge of Facilities preferred
- M&E experience, ideally with supervision of building services contractors.
- A knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Full UK Driving licence.
**Desirable**:
- Health & Safety Training.
- Fire Marshal Training.
- First Aid Training.
