**Head of Finance Service Delivery**

**About the Role**

The Head of Finance Service Delivery is responsible for ensuring that there is excellent service in place and that our Practices, Suppliers and Operational Support teams experience an excellent service journey with Finance.

The role has leadership responsibility for Accounts Payable, Cash & Banking, Sales ledger and Credit Control and the training and engagement of these teams will be vital to its success.

This role will be pivotal to defining the Finance Service offering and identifying process and technology enhancements to provide efficiencies and optimise the service.

Reporting to the Finance Director the role will be responsible for representing the transactional finance teams, building consensus and driving decision making on service-related issues with the wider business. The role will also oversee project delivery, development of service strategies that align with wider business strategy, whilst putting clinical excellent and pet welfare at the heart of everything we do.

The role will evaluate the effectiveness of our transactional processes and drive process improvement through the organisation, understanding the critical activities, risk and opportunities within major transactions. Working across a broad network of stakeholders, the Head of Finance Service Delivery will drive cross functional and value-added initiatives across the business such as procurement processes and develop and encourage effective organisational partnerships between the practices, operations and finance teams.

The provision of strategic insight to senior leadership across the business will be key for this role, developing and implementing strategies to positively drive service performance through key metrics and indicators.

The Head of Finance Service Delivery will lead a team of two direct reports, and a wider team of 20.

**About your experience**

The Head of Finance Service Delivery role requires the following skills and experience:

- Leadership experience in an operational finance environment with ERP (SAP S/4 HANA or similar).
- Experience of working with OpenText
- Knowledge and experience of Business Services environment with CRM systems experience (Salesforce or similar)
- Strong customer service, project management and quality control skills including KPI performance monitoring.
- Team management - mentoring and development of a large team, including Apprenticeship mentoring.
- Change Management principles and methodologies.
- Stakeholder management across all levels of an organisation
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work at pace and have a high level of organisational skills.
- Ability to influence and challenge across teams, both within and outside of Finance.
- Strong service ethos and demonstrates vision, values and behaviours.
- Passion for accuracy and drive for improvement.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Process Improvement / Project Management qualification desirable.
