**About the role**:
We are currently seeking a Claims Inspector to cover the Birmingham area and investigate loss or injury claims and negotiate liability and settlement to ensure fair and appropriate outcomes for our customers whilst controlling claims costs.

This is a homebased opportunity offering autonomy for managing your own time and workload effectively.

As a Claims Inspector, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Investigation of policy indemnity issues or possible FCA breaches with Policyholders, and with Agents and their staff
- Visiting Policyholders and making other enquiries in response to complaints or other matters, with the aim of resolving issues
- Providing investigation reports which are clear and concise with logical conclusions on policy and legal liability and include suitable recommendations for further action, promoting our non-adversarial rehabilitation scheme where appropriate
- Organising and planning time and travel efficiently to complete investigations within required timescales
- Maintaining records and completing and submitting returns as required by the Regional Claims Inspector
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with Claims colleagues, Underwriters, Management, Solicitors, Agents, Policyholders, Suppliers and Third Parties.

**About you**:
We are seeking a self-sufficient General Insurance professional who has a strong liability claims background, ideally with previous experience within a field-based investigation or loss adjuster role.

You will be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge and question where necessary.

Ideally you will have, or be working towards, the ACII qualification.

A clean driving licence is required.
