We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with autism in our primary school located in Portsmouth, Hampshire. This role offers a fulfilling and rewarding position within the education sector.

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualised support to a pupil with special educational needs (SEN). Your main responsibilities will include assisting the child in their daily tasks and activities, providing additional guidance and instruction, and helping them to achieve their learning goals. You will be working closely with the class teacher and the SENCo to implement individualised education programs, adapt teaching materials, and track the progress of the pupil.

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience or qualifications in Childcare, Education or Social Care. Punctuality and reliability are essential qualities for this position, as is full-time availability. We are looking for individuals with a genuine desire to work in the education sector on a long-term basis, and who are willing to support children of all abilities. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm, providing a good work-life balance.
