- based processes. The General Operative will ensure that work is performed, and products are manufactured to the highest quality standards, to guarantee the best possible customer satisfaction. You will provide professional multi-skilled support to colleagues and assist with the efficient operation of the department.

**SUMMARY RESPONSBILITIES OF THE POST**
- To provide high quality and skilled support to any or all the departments in which you are required to work.
- To execute the set manufacturing and general tasks associated with the processes you are working on
- To attend and take part in all relevant professional training and meetings associated with the Production or estates processes, and the business in general.
- To operate any manufacturing machinery or equipment, according to the prescribed methods, to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
- To ensure that all work is performed according to the prescribed systems and methods of working.
- To maintain a clean and tidy workspace, wherever you are assigned to work.
- To complete assigned tasks on time, meeting strict deadlines, according to the schedule.
- To prioritise jobs, only on the instruction of Managers.
- To complete tasks efficiently and competently, ensuring that the work meets the required quality standard, before being transferred into the next phase of production.
- To use the prescribed methods to confirm that the process has been performed to the correct standard.
- To report any problems with the job to Managers.
- To sign off any work you have completed before it moves on to the next stage.
- To complete any required Productivity Records for monitoring purposes
- To maintain the security and safety of the production floor, especially in the absence of supervisors or Managers

**RELATIONSHIPS AND ROLES**

**The General Operative will**:

- Be directly responsible to the Production Manager and will be expected to abide by any reasonable work requests, under the supervision of others as required.
- Be expected to have full regard for his own Health and Safety and that of his colleagues
- Ensure that he performs his duties, in full accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety rules and policies.
- Take pride in his work.
- Employ his best efforts to abide by the current policies and practices as operated by the Company
- Ensure that confidential information about the product, and the production process, remains within the Company and is not disclosed or offered to outside interests.
- Be responsible for adapting to changes in a positive manner and be able to implement any changes quickly.
- Conduct any additional reasonable duties as directed by the Managers or Senior Management, as required.
