Trinity House Group are recruiting a Financial Accountant for an industry leading & award-winning Financial Services business based in Birmingham. This role is ideal for a Finalist or Newly Qualified accountant from either an industry or practice background.

Key responsibilities:

- Running month-end, annual and interim accounting processes for Group and subsidiary companies
- Reconciling nominal ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Responding to queries raised by the internal or external auditors.
- Researching and considering the impact of new and revised International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Management accounting for subsidiary business.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies.
- Review of process & procedures ensuring all are up to date.
- Contributing to ad hoc Finance projects
- Identifying risks and mitigating them with effective controls.

You will have / be:

- Fully qualified or finalist (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Experience of preparing both consolidated and individual company accounts under IFRS desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good attention to detail.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
- High level of personal motivation and initiative.
- Working knowledge of accounting systems, processes and reconciliations/controls.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
