Marketing and Communications Manager

**Location**: Portsmouth

**Salary**: Up to £35,000 depending on experience.

**Job Type**:Full Time - Permanent. 35 hours a week. Flexible/Hybrid working.

**About us**:
The Institute of Healthcare Engineering & Estates Management**(IHEEM) is a professional membership organisation specialising in the Healthcare Estates Sector.

As the largest UK professional body dedicated to research, education and the professional development of healthcare engineers and facilities managers, its primary purpose is to serve its members by continuously improving and developing the Institute's offer.

**About the role**:
You will be responsible for the development and supervision of all marketing and communication strategies for the Institute to drive the recruitment and retention of members.

**Key Responsibilities (taken from job description)**:
Management
- Support the CEO in delivering the vision and Strategic 5 Year Plan for the Institute.
- The development of goals, strategies and implementation plans to deliver the brand strategy whilst maintaining brand integrity.
- Development of key performance indicators (KPI) to enable monitoring and reporting of the Institute's key marketing and brand development activities.
- Ensure all products, services, and other offerings conform to brand identity; conduct ongoing brand management.
- Develop and execute an annual strategic marketing and communications plan to span across all communication media (online and offline) and reach appropriate target audiences, based upon specific performance goals.
Marketing and social media
- Oversea the design and production of professional and relevant marketing material.
- Ensure all parts of the IHEEM website are kept up-to-date and are user friendly and engaging.
- Manage and review the use of social media platforms as appropriate to communicate with members, target audience and promote the Institute.
Professional Development Activities
- Support the Events Officer in managing the Events and Seminar Programme.
- Once outline proposals are agreed in principle, produce fully costed proposals for all marketing and promotional activity required.
- Working alongside the Membership Development Manager, to support productive and effective relationships with IHEEM branches, working with them to promote membership development and to enlist the help of volunteers for events.

**Requirements**:

- University degree in marketing, advertising, sales, or business administration, or equivalent.
- 3 years of direct work experience in a marketing management capacity.
- Excellent understanding and familiarity with brand building and brand management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in internet marketing techniques, technologies, and solutions.
- Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills; sense of diplomacy
