Remote, United Kingdom Humanitec Full time

**Do you enjoy turning complexity into simplicity? Our design challenge is to make the intricate and interconnected systems of cloud software work intuitively and elegantly. You'll be setting visual, usability, and service design standards for a diverse group of developers and platform engineers, with a range of different expectations and technical competencies.**

**About Us**

Platform engineering is revolutionizing how enterprises build and run their cloud-native setups. Humanitec is at the core of this revolution, enabling teams to build Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) and reach true developer self-service. Through our community-led efforts (platformengineering.org, PlatformCon) and roster of enterprise customers, we are hitting an inflection point in the adoption of IDPs. We are looking to aggressively scale the team to meet the increasing demand.

**We are looking for an outstanding Senior Product Designer** who is passionate about bringing order to complexity and simplicity to chaos. You should have significant experience in the state-of-the-art design of digital products and B2B tools. A track record in working on and expanding design systems, facilitating workshops, and wireframing is a must. A UX-related degree and experience in designing developer tools are a big plus. We pay top 5% in the market, stocks are part of the package. Work is fully remote and we work exclusively with senior engineers in small, lean, and self-organized teams. We are mostly active within the timezones UTC-1 to UTC+3.

LI-Remote

**Requirements**:

- Extensive professional experience in building and shipping digital products. Experience with developer tooling and/or cloud technologies is a plus.
- A portfolio that demonstrates creative range, innovative thinking, and experience in creating new and delightful user experiences.
- A good understanding of front-end technologies is a plus.
- Available for remote work in timezones UTC-1 to UTC+3 (Berlin time +/- 2 hours).

**Responsibilities**
- Own the design process for your components from discovery and definition, to review and delivery.
- Drive research by interviewing and observing real users, seeking out experts, and developing interactive prototypes.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and the founding team through discussions, workshops, or reviews to deliver simple user experiences.
- Take ownership of our product design discipline, from working on strategic initiatives to developing new features and performing small improvements.
- Further develop the design foundation, setting up and improving anything from processes to principles and guidelines.
- Plan, recruit, and conduct user research to help us prioritize for impact and shape our product in collaboration with our user researcher.
- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Product to find the most viable solutions under the given constraints while being an advocate for the user.

**About our Process**

We focus exclusively on your talents and personality - your background, origins, or identity will never influence our decision-making.

Your first interview will be 30 minutes with our Talent Partner, so that we can learn more about you and you can find out more about the hiring process, role, and our company. This first interview is usually followed by 1-3 core interviews with the leadership team and your future colleagues/team members. These interviews are typically 30 to 60 minutes, fully remote, and without any take-home assignments. We will talk through your background, your approach to work, and dive into your knowledge & experience.

The final interview is with one of our founders to give you the chance to understand Humanitec even better.

We are committed to improving our awareness of and approach to DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) at Humanitec, and are continuously reviewing and improving our hiring & interviewing processes to accommodate for people of diverse experiences, needs, and backgrounds. We have a zero tolerance policy for any discriminatory or disrespectful behaviour, including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ageism, or any other form of discrimination. This applies to our hiring & interviewing processes and to all internal communications at Humanitec.
