**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Accounts Assistant / Finance Administrator who is accurate, reliable, highly-organised and self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines.

Working as an Accounts Assistant / Finance Administrator you will be reporting to the Finance Manager as part of a team in the finance department. This role has a broad variety of responsibilities within the finance function.

As an Accounts Assistant / Finance Administrator you will be required to carry out a variety of administrative and accounting tasks including payroll and balance sheet reconciliation and will continuously strive to develop your personal role in the organisationto maximise the benefit brought to the Finance function in general.

**DUTIES**

Your role as an Accounts Assistant / Finance Administrator will include:

- Allocation of cash receipts and payments against sales and purchase ledgers
- Process monthly payroll journal and reconciliation
- Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of the bank accounts
- Assisting in cashflow forecast for next 3 month prediction
- Processing of weekly payment runs in all currency
- Assisting and preparing for accrued and deferred revenue reconciliation
- Processing and controlling of fixed asset accounting and the month end reconciliations of these accounts
- Organising and ensuring robust fixed asset audit processes within the business and disposal of old assets
- Monitoring and controlling month end accruals and prepayments and ensuring complete reconciliation processes are in place
- Assist and prepare Balance sheet reconciliation for review
- Preparation and reconciliation of VAT on a monthly basis
- Review and post intercompany recharges
- Preparation of national statistics forms
- Preparation of Tax Pack and Reporting Pack
- Preparation of Financial Statements
- Assisting with RD Tax Credit calculations
- Assisting with preparation of PSA and P11D
- Providing cover for purchase ledger
- Support with Group requirement as and when
- Support SOX requirement for internal and external audit
- Other ad hoc duties as required
- Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies & procedures
- Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
- Contribute to department and organisation special projects as required
- Continuously strive to develop personal role in the organisation to maximise benefit brought to the Finance function in general

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous experience of working in financial reporting departments
- Previous experience of SOX is an added benefit
- Familiar with working in an international environment a benefit
- Strong level of Microsoft Office skills
- Accurate, reliable, highly-organised, self-motivated. Service minded and problem-solving oriented
- Strong interpersonal negotiation and inter-cultural communication skills, and a team player
- Someone who can juggle multiple tasks in an organised and effective way
- Strong, collaborative and balanced personality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines and to act on own initiative
- Ability to work effectively with staff in different departments and locations
