Young People's Support Worker

**Responsibilities**
- Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Delivery of activities to the students.
- Monitor and support student performance, providing constructive feedback to encourage growth.
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to support student learning.
- Prepare classroom resources for the teacher and help to clear away at the end of the day.
- Support with organising lunches for the young people
- Supervise young people during break-times using this as an opportunity to build relationships.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to engage in their studies.
- Working independently and as part of a team.
- You will need to be enthusiastic, able to use your own initiative, show resilience for what can be a demanding role
**Experience**
- Previous experience in an education setting or a related field is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of SEND is desirable
- A Level 3 qualification in childcare or a related field is essential.
- Proven ability to provide compassionate and nurturing towards our students.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students and their families.
- A valid driving licence is preferred as you may need to transport students.
- A DBS will be required.
