Job Title: Junior Scientist

**Salary**: £25,000 per annum
Location: Borehamwood
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm 37.5 hours per week
COMPANY PROFILE
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant field - preferably Chemistry or similar
- Competent with Microsoft Packages
- Good communication skills
- Numerical skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine metal species in plastic products by XRF & Spectroscopy
- Identify polymer types and composition.
- Testing of products in line with relevant testing standards
- Support the technical & testing teams
- Conduct experimental work to determine understanding of polymer degradation & additive systems.
- Coordinate receipt of test samples from customers & distributors
- Relay progress of sample testing to relevant teams.
