CTPSE has an exciting opportunity to become an armed operative on one of their surveillance teams.
You will undertake covert, mobile, technical and foot surveillance in order to obtain intelligence and evidence, undertaking covert surveillance as authorised under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and Human Rights legislation. You will also debrief covert surveillance operations on a daily basis ensuring evidential logs are accurate.
- Evidence of conducting both mobile and foot surveillance
- Evidence of having completed surveillance logs to a national standard, as well as knowledge of disclosure
- The ability to work under pressure and demonstrate flexibility within your role, with effective team working skills
Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the south east region and occasionally throughout the UK.

**Essential role based training**
- Holds (or has held Q1) (or equivalent) surveillance accreditation and police advanced driving (or equivalent) qualification
- Currently Taser trained (or have the ability to become so) and be able to maintain this accreditation
- Current authorised firearms officer
**Required knowledge/skills**
Essential
- Have evidence of conducting both mobile and foot surveillance
- Have evidence of completing surveillance logs to a national standard, as well as knowledge of disclosure (CPIA)
- Have evidence that you can work under pressure and demonstrate flexibility within your role
- Have evidence that you are an effective, good team player
- Have a working knowledge of relevant guidance within College of Policing surveillance APP, including RIPA and associates authorities

- Current holder of SC enhanced vetting
