**Who are we?**
We are Safety Boats UK, a leading provider of safety and work boat services to some of the largest marine, civil and construction firms in the UK. We have the privilege of providing boats to organisations such as The Volker Group, Kier, HS2 and various UK Ports and Authorities.

It’s not just construction works - we also provide safety and filming boat support to PR stunts, TV and film shoots for the likes of the BBC, Netflix and Sky to name a few as well as supporting a range of major sporting events, including the Boat Race, the Commonwealth Games, Comic Relief and next year’s Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.

**What will you be doing?**
- You will be a key part of our Operations Team supporting projects as a boat driver / operative on-site at a range of different projects and jobs, throughout the country.
- When not on-site, you’ll be helping to prepare kit and equipment ready to go to site, and on its return.
- You’ll get involved in both the proactive & re-active repairs and maintenance of kit.
- You’ll help with logistics such as boat and kit deliveries & collections.
- You will be required to stay up to date with all company standards and protocols, including assisting with recording and logging fault reports and maintenance issues.
- You'll be reporting to our Operations Managers on a daily basis - and be tasked accordingly.
- You will support jobs on the water when needed, alongside our wider pool of freelance staff.
- You will undertake a range of planning and strategy tasks for each job - including managing logistics and arrangements for equipment loading onto trailers, mobilisation to and from site - coordinating with the wider operations team.

**What are we looking for?**
We are looking for someone that has a can-do attitude, that’s willing to learn and work hard. This is a junior role within our team, with the opportunity to progress and grow over time.

For us, the right person is the key criteria, not just qualifications & experience - some previous powerboat operating experience is essential, but other than that, the right attitude and wiliness to learn is what’s most important to us. We can teach you anything else you might need

We are looking for someone that is motivated, able to present themselves professionally on-site, operate in a safe manner and comes with a can-do attitude.

As well as this, the following are required:

- Competent and qualified boat driver with experience of being on the water.
- Flexible and adaptable - happy to respond to client needs, which may include unsociable hours and some weekends.
- Motivated, organised and able to work under their own initiative.
- Able to work under pressure and have a ‘can-do’ approach to solving problems.
- An excellent team player - being keen to get stuck into everything is key.
- A good communicator - you will be in contact with our wider staff team and clients (new and old).
- A full UK driving license (experience driving vans/towing trailers in beneficial but not essential).

**What are we offering?**
For this position, we’re offering a competitive starting salary of between £20,000-£24,000 depending on your qualifications and experience, as well as a great range of benefits as detailed below:
