**Desktop Support Engineer - Refresh Project**
Basildon, Essex
**Salary**: up to £26,680
We have an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer to support with a refresh project based on our client’s site in Basildon.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract working full-time Monday to Friday on site in Basildon.
**Duties**:
- Refresh project - building and installing PC assets for the client
- Adhere to customer, HSSE and security policies
- Site based role refreshing client assets - laptop, desktop and/or VDI devices
- Will be required to build and deploy devices at site and interact with site-based team and customers
**Essential skills / qualifications**:
- A good technical knowledge of IT, PCs/peripherals and their architecture
- Some experience of software and hardware troubleshooting skills
- Good customer facing skills, communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills, able to take a methodical approach to service issues
- Able to work both on own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure to meet SLAs and remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to follow processes and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
**Desirable skills / qualifications**:
- Software technical qualifications, i.e. MCP, MCSE
- Manufacturer accreditations
- Office 365 & Win 10 experience would be beneficial, but if you have experience in carrying out roll-outs/refreshes
- Knowledge of Service Now
Full UK driving Licence desirable but not essential.
