**Salary**: £10.90 per hour

Hours: 25 hours a week

Shift pattern: 07.00am to 12.00pm Monday - Friday

**What will the role entail?**
- To be aware of your route, including any additional drops/collections that are required.
- To ensure vehicle checks and defect book are completed prior to starting your journey each day and act as required before departure from the depot as instructed in the Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
- To unload goods at the customer’s premises in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the customer’s instructions and your SSOW training
- To adhere to transport legislation
- To collect goods where required and complete necessary collection paperwork in line with Company procedures.
- Assisting in the warehouse and with other tasks as and when required
- You will also be responsible for and measured by the following criteria:

- Obtaining signatures for stock delivered.
- Delivering the stock in a condition satisfactory to the customer.
- On return, clearing your vehicle of card and shrink wrap and dealing with any returned products and locating them in the correct returns area.
- Maintaining and recording product and vehicle temperatures 3 times a day on your DDR
- Keeping your van clean and tidy, ensuring it is washed on a weekly basis and brushed inside and out
- Refuel your vehicle daily and record fuel drawn on the form provided
- Making the Assistant Transport Manager aware of any vehicle defects and maintenance requirements as soon as possible.
- To support and maintain a positive working environment.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as directed by Management

**What skills and experience are required?**
- ‘Can-do’ attitude
- Manual handling experience (desirable)
- Customer service experience (desirable)
- Foodservice delivery experience (desirable)
- Good driving record and correct licence (essential)
- The ability to work independently
- Patience and a polite attitude towards other road users
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A reasonable level of fitness

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week
